Floor Widget

Bring your digital twin to a new level of intelligence with the floor widget. You can now easily integrate your floor plans into HxGN Smart Sites, switch between floors with the click of a button and have a full view of your environment at the floor level you are interested in. Visualize the electrical plans on top of your point clouds, water pipes on your BIM models, making your operational decisions one step easier to make.

Workflow overview

The general idea is pretty simple and follows the processes as you know them:

• Create WFS services for each floor and add these as distinct WFS datasources in the HxGN Smart Sites admin.
• Set the metadata with a tag for each floor.
• Configure the Floor Widget for each datasource.
• Create a publication for each created datasource with the same title as the datasource.
• Open the HxGN Smart Sites client application and load the new publications.
• Select the dimensions button to open the Floor Widget.
• Select a floor to load the WFS data for that floor.

Alternative

You might want to have a combined overview of all these floors in one publication.

• Create a publication with all above created WFS datasources attached and name it appropriately.
• Open the hss client application and load the all-in-one publication.
• Select the dimensions button to open the floors widget.
• Select a floor to load the WFS data for that floor.
